I came to Kost because I needed a tire to pass inspection. Little did I know, I would need much more than a tire, and for reasons that would directly impact the safety of myself and, most of all, my 2-year-old daughter. These guys spotted what someone else either didn’t, or worse, ignored. They had the parts I needed ordered and installed on the same day. The staff here cares. They work hard and are swift and efficient. You never get the sense that they’re trying to sell you on something you don’t need. I highly recommend this place and will be a return customer for sure.

Wow! The people at Kost Tire in Scranton on Jefferson Ave have restored my faith in humanity. My car died while waiting in a parking lot at a discount tire place after being told they couldn’t get to me today. Car was dead! A friend tried to jump the car with no luck and even tried to use a plug in super charger to get car started. While waiting I called the nearest Kost to see if they had a battery. We couldn’t get the car started and it was devastating to have to tow the car a few blocks. When I called back to Kost, Frank Perone, the manager, jumped into his car with a battery and a technician and came to me, installed a new battery, followed me back to Kost, checked the alternator, installed two new tires and had me on the road in less than an hour! Never going anywhere else again!! Thanks Frank and all your staff.

Went to this location for a fuel leak. They called me and said we can replace the entire gas line or just the part thats rotted out. I was trying to save money and went with the cheaper option. The mechanic whose name was Rob, replaced the section that was rusted. When they double checked that the repair was "good" they found another leak along the same line. Long story short, they replaced the entire fuel line with a new metal custom fabricated line and only charged me for a small piece of rubber line. An entire fuel line on my car for only $53 dollars. The counter person I dealt with was named Christine. I was not expecting this repair to go this way whatsoever but I am grateful for Christine and Rob who made it happen and for more than a reasonable price. Thank you guys very much!

I am always treated with COURTESY and Tom (a Manager) always tries to give me the best price possible. And all of the STAFF are POLITE and HELPFUL. when Tom is not available. Flo, second in charge, was also very COURTEOUS and HELPFUL just recently when I needed immediate help and Tom was not available. I will not go to any other facility - including Kost on Pierce St. because I am so satisfied with Tom and the work that gets done under his supervision!

From the start, Tom was friendly, professional, and clearly knew what he was talking about. He took the time to walk me through my options without any pressure, which I really appreciated. What stood out most was his honesty and customer-first approach. He made sure I got exactly what I needed at a fair price, kept me updated while the work was being done, and had everything finished quicker than expected.
